Clearly we have found that this page would be a whole website in itself!!  We tried to include: Lesson plans, recipes, Islamic history in Spain as well as it's art and rich culture.  Let us not forget you Muslims who live overseas and needed reading material, we found plenty of that for you too!  Enjoy and Inshallah if you find that you would like another website listed here just write us at WEHN!

Elementary Spanish Curricula used for years in a Catholic school.  Definately worth looking at if you are choosing to expose your children to Arabic as well as Spanish.

Access a database of more than 3000 recommended books in Spanish for children and adolescents. This site I think would be good if you are emmersing your children in Spanish and would like to supplement with books!

Cordoba:  Moorish (Islamic) Civilization. Al-Hakam (796-822 A.D.) was a tolerant ruler who respected the counsel of his advisers and who love learning. He not only extended the great mosque of Cordoba, but was also responsible for instituting the first university in Andalusia. Learn about how the rest of the continent was plunged in ignorance, and in its flowering 
Cordoba was clearly one of the wonders of the world.

Cordoba. Nowhere else in the world do the cultures of Christianity, Islam and Judaism stand side-by-side the way they do in Cordoba, the former capital of Moorish Spain. 
 

Islamic Spain. The Moor's Islamic invasion in Spain created a massive, historical cross-cultural encounter. In the eighth century, the Islamic Caliphate expanded into Africa where the Moors occupied. Their invasion into Spain changed the culture and society in Spain and their invaders forever.

A SPANISH PARADISE: THE MOORS IN ANDALUSIA.  This is actually a lecture series that will take place in April 1999.  But, the webpage has a very brief history covering many topics that will be discussed.
