Discovery School There are lessons, activities, and sites to explore.  They have an excellent Egypt theme page which complements ArabesQ's Egypt Cultural Unit. Furthermore, lessons about Islam can be searched out.

PBS Online Teacher Source A comprehensive new resource for preK-12 educators and of course home educators too! PBS occasionally air programs about Muslims and Islam. These programs normally have correlating lesson plans in their archive.

Peace Corps Lesson Plans are categorized by grades and countries. Here you can find lessons on certain Muslim countries.

NY Times Daily Lesson Plans You will find a vast collection of lesson plans at New York Times related to Muslims and Islam. All you have to do is type in subjects such as Muslims, Islam, Middle East, Balkans, North Africa, etc. Please be advised that the New York Times present themselves as being "politically correct"; therefore, their use of words that are offensive to Muslims are common. Not all of the lesson plans are like this and some are quite good. I just thought that you all should be aware of this and have your black markers handy (smile)!

A & E Network Contains study guides for topics that have aired. What I like about A & E is that they cover so much history that it gives me a good reason to let the children watch TV. Don't forget to look for programs about Muslims and Islam!

Project OWLink   Interactive long distance lesson plans created as a teaching tool . I really like this site.  Simple but quite complete in their lessons.

Teachers Helping Teachers This site was probably one of the most remarkable for me to see because it actually had a  lesson plan to teach children about Ramadhan!   It has weekly items for classroom use and an archive of lesson plans.
